Hi Ozzie,
Do you have an idea of what time workers will arrive Wednesday morning? Will it be at 8 am, or might it be later? I ask because I can be here at 8 am to hand over the keys to someone (for the gates, laundry room and storage room), but I might not be able to stick around past 8:30 am. If I have to leave, should I put all of the keys under my door mat like I’m supposed to put my house key? If I should do something else instead, please let me know.
Adeline
Hi Ozzie,
In my last comment I forgot to ask about ziplok style plastic bags. Can they trap gas, too? Do those need to be unzipped/opened to prevent that from happening? Thanks.
Adeline
Hi Ozzie,
It looks like it’s going to rain here on Wednesday. Is there a way you can let us know by Monday, early in the afternoon, if the tenting will take place or be postponed, or do you have to wait until Tuesday, or even Wednesday, before making a final, official decision? Thanks.
Adeline
Hey Adeline. So far, the current forecast allows us to continue with the fumigation as scheduled. We’ll continue to monitor trends over the weekend to look out for any changes that might cause the timeline to shift. Any changes will be communicated to you and your neighbors directly.
Hi again Ozzie,
Can you clarify where we can leave items on the property? I know you said that the area at the northeast corner, parking space # 7, would be good, but what about a little farther west? Can anything be left on the walkway (it’s about 2 feet wide) on the north edge of the property behind parking space # 6? It’s the space just west of space # 7. We just need to be sure how much space we can make use of back there is available. Thanks,
Adeline
Hey Adeline. If you are referring to plants, the best place would be along the far side of the driveway or an uncovered parking space. I would avoid using walkways as much as possible especially since yours is so narrow.
Hi Ozzie,
I forgot to ask a question about closed/sealed boxes. I know your workers open cabinets, drawers, etc., but what about boxes? Do lids need to be taken off to prevent vikane gas from being trapped in them, too? What about very small boxes, like the size of a book, or smaller? And what if larger boxes are taped shut. Do we need to remove the tape so they can be opened? And what about other kinds of containers? Do we need to leave our microwave oven door open? What about the lid to a rice cooker? I’m just concerned about possible exposure to the gas at a later time. Thank you for your help.
Hey Adeline. Sealed boxes are okay assuming that there are not food items within. You also don’t need to unstack them. Crews will be mindful to test air quality around them to detect any potential of trapped gas. The oven and microwave do need to stay open to allow for air flow. The rice cooker can stay as is, but leaving it open would also help.
