    Hi Qzzie,
I have a 4 drawer file cabinet. I usually lock the top two drawers as all my personal info is contained therein. Will that need to be opened?
I also have a kitchen cabinet full of empty food storage containers. Do the lids need to be removed before the job? Or be removed after in case there is any gas trapped in them?
Do covid test kits need to be bagged?

Hi Margaret. Yes, all cabinets and drawers will need to be opened. Lids on empty containers do not need to be removed. Covid test kits are okay to leave as is.

    Two things:
#1 We have a small safe which will need to be inspected.
#2 Clarification – in the Webinar, it was emphasized that items in glass or metal with original seals, do not have to be bagged. However, the Fumigation Facts sheet provided also states “glass, plastic, or metal bottles, jars, or cans with the original manufacturer’s airtight seal intact…” So if I have an unopened plastic bottle of mayonnaise or peanut butter, is it OK to not bag it?

Hi Caryl. We have annotated your safe. Generally speaking, factory sealed plastic containers are also okay to leave out. However, we’ve noticed imported items all over SoCal homes that are factory sealed, but may not meet the normal standard given to domestic products. It’s out of an overabundance of caution that we skip that exception. The items you mentioned should be okay to leave out if they are still factory sealed.

I would like to know if the refrigerator will be unplug, to take the food out from the freezer or will be ok to leave the food inside.

and of I have to put the food cans also in the plastic bags.
this are my only two questions.

    thank you.

Hi Martha. The fridge will stay plugged in. Leaving food in the freezer is fine as long as it’s double bagged in the Nylofume material we provided. Canned good are okay to leave out if they have never been opened.

Is there a specific time for each unit’s gas company switch on Thursday afternoon, or should we just make sure we’re at home by 2 pm that day so we don’t miss SoCal Gas?

    Reply
    • Ozzie Camacho

It’s best that you are home no later than 2pm. If you happen miss the gas company, they will not turn your meter on and will not be returning until you schedule another appointment.

Will the detached garages also be fumigated? I would like to move some items into my detached garage to avoid contamination, can I do that?

    Reply
    • Ozzie Camacho

Hey Cynthia. As of now, detached garages that do not share a building with the living spaces will not be fumigated. You are more than welcome to use them as storage.

    Hi Ozzie,

    2 questions:

1 – Can you use a garage access code instead of a key if the garage is attached?
2 – What kind of recourse would we have IF there is damage to the interior of our homes between the time we leave and return?

    Reply
    • Ozzie Camacho

Hey Kristen. Yes, you are welcome to use your garage as the point of access for us. You can email the code to fumigations@accuratetermitecontrol.com. Although we don’t expect any issues, if you happen to find anything amiss inside of the house after the fumigation, please send us photos and a detailed description to the same email. We will then have someone look into it. All claims will be addressed on a case by case basis.

I need to redo the Occupants Fumigation Notice and Pesticide Disclosure as I selected the WRONG ADDRESS from the drop down menu. I live at 6605 Pine Bluff Drive and I accidently picked 6603 Pine Bluff Drive.
