Hello,
Our unit cannot be locked without a key. As we are only using a deadbolt, since our door knob does not work. Is there any way that you could lock our door and leave the key back in the lock box? Otherwise our front door will not close shut without being locked.

Hey Len. We will use the key to lock the deadbolt, then push it through the threshold. If we can’t fit the key through the threshold, we will leave it under the mat.
Since fumigation of building 9729 was rescheduled would it be possible to get some more fumigation bags?

I have been informed that the fumigation for 9721 Mesa Springs Way has been rescheduled for Tuesday 12/3. This is right after the Thanksgiving Holiday. Seriously? I have made extended plans for the Thanksgiving Holiday. I made these plans many months ago. I find this to be very poor planning, inconsiderate, and unacceptable.
Hi Mark. We truly apologize for the situation this puts you and your neighbors in. We understand that the last minute cancellations have caused much stress and we wish to thank you for your continued patience during this process. The decision to postpone was not an easy choice for the board to make, but due to the forecasted weather conditions it created a high likelihood of a failed fumigation. This would have caused the phase to be fumigated all over again. With the best interest of the community as a whole, the board made the difficult choice to reschedule.

Hey Brittany. You can call SDGE directly to either reschedule your appointment or to give them a lockbox code if you have one. That would allow them to restore your gas in your absence.

Water dispensers are fine to use as normal. There’s no need to flush it out.
Do we receive phone calls or updates when fumigation is done or do we just show up at 2 and expect to be able to enter our homes right away ?
Hi Jake. No, we don’t call or send messages letting you know it’s okay to return. Once 2pm hits, you are good to go home.

I just got a notification that my garage door opened partially and then stopped. Is it supposed to be open? Do I need to come over and make sure it’s closed?
Hi Rob. This is normal. Garages are left slightly ajar, just a couple of inches, per state mandate for fumigations. However, the fumigators instal a brace on the door preventing it from opening or closing any further than the position they were left in.

Hello! I had 2 questions:
I was wondering if we needed to remove our candles? Because when we light them we are inhaling the smoke from it so wasn’t sure if it will be affected by the fumigation gas.
2. What do we do with our air purifiers? Should we leave them off? Should we replace the filter when we come back?
Hey Leva. Candles can stay as is. There’s no need to removed them. They will be good for normal use after the fumigation. Air purifiers can also stay as is. They will not hold any of the fumigant.
Hello, if we have our mattress zipped in a cover, will it be unzipped? if so, will it be zipped back up prior to fumigation. We are concerned about our mattress being unzipped during fumigation.
should we leave or couch covers on or should we take them off in regard to being worried about gasses.
we have an entertainment center with a tv in front of fireplace, should this be moved for sdge to access?

Hey Jake. I completely understand your concern. However, your mattress cover is fine zipped or unzipped. Our crews will be sure to account for any potential pockets of gas and ensure that the home is fully ventilated and cleared of any fumigant. Your couches can stay as is. We don’t recommend putting plastic over your furniture since it might create pockets of trapped gas. Your clothes, appliances, furniture, and all other non-edible items can stay as is.

Hi there, would it be possible for me to leave my plants in the front yard in front of my apartment? I’m leaving on the first floor, and I’m worried if they are staying within the fumigation area
Hi Behrad. Moving them to the yard would be okay. The best place would be to put them in an uncovered parking spot if possible.

Hey Joanne. If the bottles have never been opened before, you do not need to remove or double bag them.
Does the lockbox to open the unit need to be on the water heater closet door knob or on the front door knob?
The lockbox is best to be placed on the front door.

I completed the Occupants Fumigation Notice and Pesticide Disclosure form on October 2, 2024. However, I just received another notice this morning on my door when the nylofume bags were dropped off that I still had not completed an Occupant Notice Form, and that I need to have it completed by October 7, 2024 at 8 AM. Can you please confirm whether you do already have my completed document for the form that was referenced on the final notice that I received on my door today, and if not, then can you please tell me exactly what other form I need to complete? Please let me know ASAP as legal notices were threatened by the HOA in the notice.

Hello! On the day of returning back to our unit, how do we know that we can go back inside our unit while we wait for the gas company to come turn back on the gas in our unit from 2-6pm? Are we able to go inside our unit to wait for the gas company between 2-6pm to come back and turn on our gas? Or how will that go?
Hey Joanna. We won’t be sending out any messages to let you know that you are good to go home. You can confidently assume that you are good to go home at 2pm.You can stay inside while you wait for the gas company.
Is bldg. 9710 being fumigated? It is referenced in the beginning of the notification letter yet it is NOT highlighted on the Creekside map.

Hi Carolin, Your building is scheduled for November 19th to the 21st. The notice letter you received was intended for other neighbors. The notice letter specific to your building will be distributed in the coming days.
I’m unable to open the “fill out form” that is required to be e-signed today. How can I sign the form?
Hey Kim. Not all buildings are scheduled for fumigation. Please send us an email to fumigations@accuratetermitecontrol.com so that we may get you the information you need.
Do we need to do anything with mattresses or bedding?
Hey Alex. Baby/crib mattresses need to be removed from the building. All other standard mattresses can stay as is. You don’t need to remove the bedding.
Does our address dissapear if we do our contract or does it stay there?
Hi Eve. If you are referring to the Occupant’s Fumigation Notice form you are submitting for your fumigation, yes. The address you use becomes part of your form.

Thanks for pointing that out. We will also need garage access. If the garage is directly accessible from within the living space of the condo, there’s no need to provide a separate code or key.
