Hello! Please clarify the following as a lot of information is seen or interpreted differently by different homeowners
    1) spices have to be double bag but need to be refrigerated or not?
    2) dry goods such as pasta and rice in plastic or boxes yes?
    3) you answered that home owners will not meet the fumigation personnel but a previous email said yes
I want to make sure I get the green light before I vacate
    4) you want garment gags unzipped but what about plastics from the dry cleaner?
    5) it is unclear why the homeowner has to be there to meet the gas company or other personnel please clarify?
    Thank you so much

    Hi Ozzie
    Louise at 304 here:
    1) will all homeowners meet with one of your representatives the morning of 7/19 prior to vacating and if so is there a time allocated for each. It is a working day and will have to leave by 8.30 am
    2) do I personally need to be at my unit on 7/22 at noon or can I another person be present on my behalf? Thank you

Hey Louise. We do not meet with residents on fumigation day. We have your key arrangements on file so you are free to vacate as early as you’d like. On the 22nd, it doesn’t have to be you who is home waiting for the gas company. Anyone you authorize to stay on your behalf is a welcome alternative.

    Hi there,
For the food items inside the refrigerator and freezer, should we double bag them as well and is it ok to keep them inside the refrigerator (covered by bags)

Hi, do bathroom products (skincare, makeup, hair products) need to be put in bags?

    Reply
    • Ozzie Camacho

Hey Constanze. Not at all. Hygiene and cosmetic products can all stay as is. Those items are not considered edible.

I have been in the building for 35years and I have no idea what locker I have. Some of the lockers are in the locked storage room and others are in the garage itself. I have no idea what my locker number is I have no problem opening it. I will give you permission to break the lock. My locker has nothing valuable in it, just extra junk, Christmas decorations etc. Thank You

Hi Carole. Thanks for letting us know. If you ever do find out which is yours, please do us a favor by labeling it with your unit number.

can we put our own plastic to cover our beds, couches, etc. and clothes in our closets? i would like to tape plastic over my closet and bathroom cabinets.

    • Ozzie Camacho

We don’t recommended putting up any plastic as it creates a higher risk of trapping fumigant gas. All spaces within the home must remain accessible.

    Hello, Tim in unit 308,
Am I required to move my potted plants which I moved from my balcony to INSIDE MY UNIT?
Is it ok to leave my potted plants inside my unit?
Will someone drop by my unit 308 on the morning 7/19/2024 to inspect and approve any questionable thing that I may have overlooked. I noticed you will drop by Alan Epstein 7:00-8:00 AM

Hi Tim. Removing your plants is encouraged but not mandatory. We can have someone do a quick check of your home before your departure. Please just send your request to fumigations@accuratetermitecontrol.com.

    Hey!

    1) I have a lockbox that I would like to leave on site. Please let me know when I should be at my unit for sign-off.

    2) I know that they mentioned that factory sealed wine is fine. I wanted to confirm that means that all wine bottles are fine (i.e., not just ones with screw tops but un-opened bottles with corks as well!)

    Thanks,
    Carolyn

Hey Carolyn. You can email your code over to fumigaitons@accuratetetermitecontrol.com. Wine is fine to stay as is only if the factory seal remains intact regardless of the type of cap/cork.

Hi, Hope you are doing well. Can we place our potted plants next to the pool? Is that area going to be fumigated as well?

    • Ozzie Camacho

Hey Amin. Plants by the pool area should not be a problem.

    1. Can I shut off the gas to my fireplace myself in case I arrive past 12 pm on July 22nd? I know how to relight my pilot.

    2. I have two locked areas that need to be inspected prior to start time, when can you come by and sign off?

    3. I have two mattress’s that have a pouch around them to prevent dust mites, is it okay to just unzip them?

    Reply
    • Ozzie Camacho

Hey Allan. The Gas company will have to at least check the lines and connections at the fire place. Once they do that, you are free to do as you please. There’s no need to remove the mattress covers you described. We will have someone at your unit on the morning of the 19th between 7am and 8am to check your locked cabinets/safes.

condo 8380 Waring avenue, unit 308.
my question: i have few cans/gallons of water based paint and a few aerosol can paints, 12 oz.
in my condo laundry room. Can they be put in your nylofume bags or must I discard them
entirely? what about my storage area in the garage…I have a few cans of plumbing cement for
for abc water pipes. My storage in the garage has lock and key. Do you need access to the storage
    in the garage?

    Reply
    • Ozzie Camacho

Hey Tim. Any household or cleaning or maintence products can stay as is. The same goes for anything non-edible. The fumigant does not have any effect on paints, artwork, books, fuel tanks, etc. Regarding the storage compartment, you would have to leave it unlocked. We cannot take vehicle or storage keys.
