3. Provide a spare key to your unit and leave all rooms accessible
NOTE: All keys are left in your unit with the door locked once we clear your unit. Be sure to have access to your unit other than the key you provide to avoid locking yourself out.

Hey Alexa. You do not have to be present for inspection unless you have a gun safe.

I read that mattress covers need to be unzipped and I was wondering why?
I wanted to keep the mattress and sofas covered/protected. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hey Melissa. We have your form. There’s no need to cover your mattress or any furniture. Unzipping the mattress cover greatly minimize the chance of trapping any gas in it. Leaving it open facilitates ventilation.

I’m in 1436 Unit 19, can you please confirm that your office has the information for the code for the lockbox I am going to use? I got it after I had filled out the form saying the key would be under the mat.
Do you want us to open the flue to the fireplace chimney or leave it closed?
I ran into a neighbor from another building this morning and they asked about the small closet on the patio, I said I was sure they do need to leave it unlocked, or they need to provide that key too. Correct?

Hi Ozzie, this is Gina unit **. I am just confirming you have my completed document. I want to clarify the electricity does not need to be turned off, only the thermostat to off position for ac/ heating. Also the gas will be handled by the gas company correct.
Hey Gina. Just to let you know, your form has been received. Electricity will stay on. And yes, the gas company will take care of shutting it off and turning it back on.

Do unopened canned goods or dry food (pasta in a box) need to be placed in the plastic bags?
Do items like shampoo, hairspray, toothpaste, contact solution, or dental floss need to be placed in the plastic bags or only ingestible medications and/or supplements?
Hey Dottie. Glass containers and canned goods don’t have to be double bagged as long as they are factory sealed. All other edible items must be double bagged or removed. This includes items in a box or a bag like cereal or rice. Hygiene and cosmetic products can stay exactly as they are.
